COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY’S EQUINE HOSPITAL TREATS EQUINE VICTIMS OF COLORADO TORNADO

You may have seen the news of major storms that blew through northern Colorado on Thursday, May 20.  There was considerable damage in the towns of Windsor and Greeley where several of Colorado State University's employees live.  We know that some in our college experienced damage to their property (including life-ending injuries to a horse) and are without power or phone service, but we are aware of no serious physical injuries.   Shirley and I live in the Windsor area, but our neighborhood was spared and we have power and phone service as of this morning.  The college is located 20 miles from the area of storm damage and we are operating normally.  We will keep you posted if there are any changes.

Lance Perryman

Dean, Colorado State College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
